Job Summary

Installs office systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to both company and client specifications, policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Reads prints and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures, and material, tool, and work aid requirements.
  2. Lays out reference lines and points for use in computing location and position of metal framing marks position for erecting metalwork.
  3. Secures metal framing to walls.
  4. Fits, aligns, and hangs panels, work surfaces, etc.
  5. Communicates with sales consultants, clients and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Other duties as assigned, including working in the shop areas as needed.

  1. Communication proficiency: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.  Must have a professional and courteous manner when dealing with others.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents.
  3. Must be organized, thorough, have a high level of accuracy, and pay attention to details.
  4. Must conduct installations according to both client and WMOI specifications, policies and procedures.

  6. Analytical and problem solving skills: Ability to calculate numbers and problem solve thru complex issues.  Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.

  9. Must be very customer-oriented, professional and efficient / effective, since this position works with our clients throughout the day on a daily basis. Must speak professionally and avoid the use of profanity.

Education and/or Experience

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Must have a Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s License.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus analytical, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  4. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent time management and follow up skills, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Ability to obtain Chauffeur’s License.
